I don't know who would read it but it tickles *my* brain and that's enough.#No spoilers for DE (here or in comments (please)) but please consider....Magpie Wei Wuxian B*) On his way to be an innocent.#I do think there is a good chance a chunk of the MDZS readership would enjoy DE but...it's also not a game I easily recommend #It's more of an experience you have to marinate over. It's dark in ways that are off putting to some people.#It makes you feel like a very bad person all the time. It gets extremely personal if you allow yourself to be honest in your answers #and it's also the game that saved my life. i was today years old when i discovered that kazami said "mattaku" as an interjection, to furuya's face and about furuya, in zero's tea time, ch. 51. in hiragana "まったく........."

not in the context of work, but in response to furuya suggesting that he may have overfed haro (which he didn't):

K: "You're saying that I'm spoiling your doggy when I take care of him!? I've only fed him the quantities that you've told me to feed him!" K: "Am I not being trusted? mattaku (sheesh)......" F: "Yeah, you're right, I'm sorry...It's just that if it isn't you, then all I can think of is that my dog (uchi no inu) is eating something of his own accord..."

the version i'd read had translated it to "come on!" but "mattaku....." with the ellipses, somehow does me in ..... there's a soft annoyance, or frustration at the idea of furuya's accusation. he still speaks formally to furuya here (...-imasen, shinyou shitenai n desu ka? etc), but it's so. idk, he can now express his frustration, he can mutter a complaint about how furuya is treating him (complete with "!?" and "!" punctuation), and the way furuya immediately apologizes hnng, and all of this is about furuya's DOGGO ...the dynamic's so domestic.....

Okay wow the "forgetting Edgeworth's elevator trauma" goes deeper than the one elevator leading into the hidden storeroom, the Bigg Building's roof doesn't have any way up aside from an elevator. I'm not sure the Bigg Building itself has any stairs at all. Wtf.

Goichi “SUDA 51” Suda has gotten a lot of mainstream attention in the past two decades. He’s become one of those weird Japanese developers that embody artistry over mechanical satisfaction, both to amazing ends and frustrating lows. It’s difficult to ignore the guy, nor not have some respect for him, even if you don’t really like what he’s trying to make.

I know I haven’t posted in a hell of a long time

but I just wanted to say that I finished the Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint almost a week ago and I am in my ORV era. I have been perusing the ORV tag on tumblr, the ORV subreddit, ORV art on Pinterest, ORV stuff on AO3 (mainly Joongdok and Sangsoo, with some YooHanKim thrown in there), and I’m so glad that it feels like I’ve only scratched the surface on what ORV content there is out there.

This story was one of the greatest works of fiction I’ve ever read, with amazingly written characters, great relationships between each of the characters, a plot that’s to die for, and twists that made sense (that didn’t seem like they were just for shock-value). Hard topics are covered in a tasteful way, and it’s the best found family dynamic I’ve ever read.

Just wanted to go on a little ORV rant and recommend it to anyone who is thinking about reading it. It takes up a bit of time, but you’ll breeze through it when you really get into it. I think it took me a solid two weeks cuz I was reading it during all of the free time I had, but if you’re reading casually, then it’ll take you longer.

Also, if this is the first time you’re hearing about ORV, then I would recommend catching up to the manhwa, then either starting again from the start of the web novel, or starting from where the manhwa ended (there’a usually a comment on webtoon telling everyone the chapter of the webnovel that the manhwa chapter ended)

One day, I really want to write out my own analysis on TLD because I've seen so many takes I *love* for Venom, but I feel like a lot of people are a little harsh on Eddie without taking into consideration how many traumatic events have happened in so little time + the effects of sleep deprivation, probable heat exhaustion, and neither of them eating anything aside from the guys at the first and a small candy bar.

(This is not excusing him being unnecessarily mean to Venom at times, because he was, and I wish there would have been some form of apology - even unspoken. But I do also feel like a lot of things get brushed over without people stopping to think about it from a psychological POV.)

#it especially bothers me toward the end because #i would have also loved to have seen more from eddie but i do also feel like shock had set in big time #same for the last scene with him looking at the statue of liberty #i see a lot of people saying he just moved on like nothing happened but also #y'all *can't* tell me that man didn’t look minutes from breaking down #i have so many feelings #but also. the fact that the second he woke up at area 51 and then the hospital - he *immediately* started talking to Venom #he cared 😭#this random tangent is brought to you by my 1AM coffee

Disco Elysium, set in 51, says: nuke in 22 years, end of the world in 27.

PJÕL puts the nuke in 72 and the end of the world in 78.

Plot twist: in the end Harry does influence the whole nuke business. He makes it happen one year earlier.

No More Heroes III

What do you do after releasing something like Travis Strikes Again? What do you do after laying out your soul like that, expressing your love and excite for a medium, despite so many complications in your own experience? Turns out the answer was have some fun. Once again, Suda, returning co-director Ren Yamazaki, and Grasshopper Manufacture have decided to do something completely different, shifting yet again into an over the top superhero story and slight satire, and also expanding on familiar formulas and gameplay to make something that managed to stick out from the crowd. No More Heroes III was absolutely not what anyone expected, and that is arguably its greatest strength.
